NEW YORK—April 10, 2015—Pearl Meyer Managing Director, Beth Florin, was honored last night as the recipient of the 2015 Jerome Alpern Award from Cornell University’s ILR School. The Alpern Award recognizes a distinguished alumnus of the school who has demonstrated outstanding service and support to the ILR School, as well as outstanding professional achievement.
“We were very pleased to recognize Beth with the Jerome Alpern Award for her remarkable achievements,” said Kevin F. Hallock, The Kenneth F. Kahn ’69 Dean and Joseph R. Rich ’80 Professor at the School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR), Cornell University. “Beth is intelligent, hard-working and creative, and I have seen first-hand the impact of her wise counsel to leaders here at Cornell.”
Ms. Florin is a Managing Director at Pearl Meyer where she leads the survey and employee compensation practice areas and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. She was a co-founder of Executive Alliance, a technology industry compensation consultancy that was acquired by Clark Consulting in 2001 and is co-author of The Handbook for Conducting Compensation & Benefits Surveys. A member of Cornell’s ILR Dean’s Advisory Council, the ILR Alumni Association Board, and the Cornell University Council, Ms. Florin is a graduate of the University of Florida and also holds an M.S. in Human Resource Management and Research Methodology from the ILR School of Cornell University.
