  • A 2020 Vision for the Compensation Committee

A 2020 Vision for the Compensation Committee

Webcast
December 2019

As we close two decades of the “new” millennium, it’s less a time for boards to reflect than it is a time to look ahead and prepare for the significant changes coming in corporate governance. This is particularly true for the compensation committee, whose role is expanding while the focus on executive (and director) pay is increasing.

Join NACD and Pearl Meyer’s for our annual Top Five webcast, which offers early guidance on emerging issues and new agenda items for the compensation committee to consider:

  1. EVA and ISS: In what situations is EVA the best measure?
  2. ESG and Incentives: When is the right time to move from disclosure to inclusion of ESG metrics in an incentive plan?
  3. Board/Management Purview: What exactly should directors be doing in response to the compensation committee's expanding charter and responsibility?
  4. Adjusted Metrics: Can we or should we use adjusted performance metrics and if so, how?
  5. Disclosure: How do we balance the pressure to be transparent with the risks of sharing too much information?
