  • A Marriage of Equals: Using Proxy and Survey Compensation Data to Support Your Annual Planning

A Marriage of Equals: Using Proxy and Survey Compensation Data to Support Your Annual Planning

Presentation
May 2018

Compensation is once again center stage and the subject of attention-grabbing media coverage from income inequality and gender pay parity to CEO pay ratios and what companies are doing to share the benefits of tax reform. It’s more important than ever that HR have fast access to accurate information to support the many pay decisions that must be made each year.

This session, delivered at the 2018 WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference, explored how compensation professionals can use both survey and proxy pay data to support their annual executive compensation planning (e.g., peer group selection, job pricing, competitive review, etc.).

This presentation covers the integration of data on executive compensation pay practices from publicly available proxy information and proprietary salary surveys. Through mini case studies, it illustrates how they can together help create competitive insights into what is happening in a given industry or within a select peer group.
