About The Survey
The Houston Engineering and Construction Salary Survey (HECSS) is a compensation information source for firms principally engaged in the business of providing engineering, design, procurement and construction of oil, gas, petroleum, petrochemical, power, or related facilities to external clients. Participants have primary business locations in Houston, Texas. The survey covers approximately 33 job families (175 jobs) and provides policy and practice information regarding salary structure adjustments, merit increase practices, college hiring/recruiting practices, and contract personnel.

The HECSS is a club survey guided by the HECSS Steering Committee with significant member involvement. The survey is managed by Pearl Meyer & Partners.
