Susan O'Donnell

Susan O’Donnell is a Managing Director in Pearl Meyer & Partners’ Boston office, where she leads the firm’s national banking industry team. She has consulted for over 20 years on executive, director and staff compensation issues. Ms. O’Donnell serves as an advisor to Boards and Compensation Committees on a broad range of compensation and governance issues, including total compensation philosophy; annual and long-term incentive/equity plan design; pay-for-performance strategies; proxy and regulatory disclosure; and succession planning. Key areas of focus today include helping banks address TARP requirements, new regulatory guidance on risk assessment, SEC disclosure requirements and other challenges. In addition, Ms. O'Donnell specializes in compensation practices for recently converted banks and has served as an expert witness on compensation matters for banks.

Prior to joining PM&P, Susan worked at several global human resources consulting firms including Watson Wyatt, Towers Perrin, Mercer and Hewitt. Ms. O’Donnell received a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and an M.B.A from Babson College. She is very active within the banking industry, frequently speaking and writing about issues related to executive, director and staff compensation; succession planning; and Board governance.
