Peter Miterko

Peter Miterko joined the firm in 2010 as a Managing Director in the New York office. He has practiced in the area of executive compensation for 25 years, assisting clients in the design of programs that drive long-term value creation and in matters of corporate governance. Mr. Miterko works in a wide variety of industries, with particular emphasis in the finance, real estate, and technology sectors.

Prior to joining Pearl Meyer & Partners, Mr. Miterko was a Principal with Hewitt Associates and leader of its New York executive compensation practice. He has also served as the global partner in charge of the Ernst & Young Actuarial, Benefits and Compensation practice, and practice leader for Aon's Mergers & Acquisitions Consulting practice. Mr. Miterko began his career as a corporate and tax attorney at Carter, Ledyard, and Milburn, where he specialized in compensation matters.

Mr. Miterko is a tax lawyer and accountant by training. He holds an A.B. from Brown University, a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and an LL.M from the New York University School of Law. A member of the Board of the Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Mr. Miterko is a member of the Connecticut and Colorado Bars and has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver School of Law.
