Terry Brown Joins Independent Executive Compensation Advisor Pearl Meyer & Partners as Managing Director

NEW YORK, January 11, 2012 — Independent executive compensation consultancy Pearl Meyer & Partners announced today that Terry Brown has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Los Angeles office.  Mr. Brown has consulted on human resource issues, with a focus on executive compensation, for nearly 20 years.  

“Terry brings to Pearl Meyer & Partners a broad spectrum of experience in executive pay issues,” said David N. Swinford, President and CEO of Pearl Meyer & Partners. “His addition to our firm expands our ability to serve our clients on the West Coast and, more specifically, in southern California.  

Mr. Brown previously was the Los Angeles Office Leader at Sibson Consulting. He served earlier as Principal and Los Angeles Compensation Practice Leader at Buck Consultants and as a Managing Director at Compensation Resource Group.  Mr. Brown also held technical positions at Northrop Corporation and Rockwell International.  

With expertise ranging from executive pay to broad-based reward programs, Mr. Brown’s projects have included analyzing and designing non-qualified executive benefit programs; analyzing compensation plan competitiveness; designing short- and long-term incentive programs; and strategically aligning executive compensation with corporate strategies to drive performance or mission expansion.  

Mr. Brown has been a frequent speaker on compensation topics at venues including WorldatWork, the Council on Employee Benefits, the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, and the Hospital Insurance Forum.  

A graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Engineering, Mr. Brown also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.
