Independent Executive Compensation Advisor Pearl Meyer & Partners Names David Bixby as Managing Director

NEW YORK, May 27, 2010 — David Bixby has joined independent executive compensation consultant Pearl Meyer & Partners as a Managing Director in the firm's Houston office. Mr. Bixby most recently was a consultant with Towers Watson.

"David's wide range of experience and expertise will make him a terrific addition to our Houston practice," said David N. Swinford, president and CEO of Pearl Meyer & Partners.

Mr. Bixby has over 12 years experience advising clients on the assessment and design of executive and director pay programs, including compensation strategy and philosophy development, annual and long-term incentive plan design, employment and severance agreements, and competitive pay analyses. He has worked with both public and private companies of varying size across a range of industries, with a particular focus on oil & gas, oilfield services, renewable energy, and energy marketing and trading.

Prior to joining Pearl Meyer & Partners, Mr. Bixby was a Senior Consultant in the Houston office of Towers Perrin (later Towers Watson), where he was responsible for managing ongoing relationships with senior management and boards of directors for a number of clients. He also oversaw the design and administration of energy industry compensation surveys covering energy marketing and trading, oilfield services, oil and gas exploration & production, and renewable power generation. He also served the non-profit sector and a diversified client base over his 12 years with Towers.

Mr. Bixby holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. from Rice University.
