Michael T. Esser

Mike Esser is a Managing Director with Pearl Meyer & Partners in the Los Angeles office, where he consults with clients on a wide range of executive, employee and equity compensation issues. Mr. Esser has more than 20 years of consulting experience in compensation and benefits, specializing in executive and board compensation, compensation strategy, short- and long-term incentive plan design and competitive analyses. He has presented on issues related to compensation for the NASPP, the National Association of Corporate Directors and other forums.

Prior to joining PM&P, Mr. Esser served as a consultant and manager with a global accounting and consulting firm. Earlier, Mr. Esser was an executive compensation consultant and responsible for managing business development for another major consulting firm’s annual compensation survey business and co-managed that firm’s Total Compensation Measurement Database. He holds a BBA in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago and holds the Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designation from WorldatWork.
